Kristen Purcell is the associate director for research at the Pew Internet & American Life Project. She has a Ph.D. in sociology from Rutgers University and specializes in both quantitative and qualitative methodologies. Kristen has worked as a senior survey researcher at Mathematica Policy Research, Inc. and Princeton Survey Research Associates International and has taught courses in sociological theory and mass media at Franklin & Marshall College and Rutgers University.
